Inspiring housing and design in harmony with the nearby river
This multifunctional, predominantly residential complex will pair modern design with the surrounding environment. Built in Smíchov, these more than 500 apartments with shops on the ground floor of the buildings will set a new standard for urban harmony with nature.
Gross floor area: aprox 40,000 m2
Architect: Chmelař architekti
Planned year of completion: 2025
We believe that the city is the right place to build denser housing and that the countryside surrounding the city should be protected. Across an area of 17,000 m² in the Prague neighbourhood of Smíchov, we are creating a multipurpose complex with a predominantly residential focus.
The project, on what is currently a brownfield site, will be connected to the surrounding urban area, which expands from the city centre along the Nádražní and Strakonická thoroughfares.
The architectural form of the project as designed by the Chmelař architectural studio draws inspiration from the design of ships to create a sense of harmony with the nearby river.
The investment costs for the construction of more than 500 flats, as well as retail space on the ground floors, will reach almost three billion Czech crowns.
