The new J&T Bank building
Gross floor area: 30,000 m²
Parking capacity: 185
Architect: CMC Architects
Year of completion: 2020
The area of Karlín is experiencing a rapid rise thanks to the arrival of more and more businesses, services, restaurants and other venues, partly due to its proximity to the centre of Prague and an abundance of transport links. J&T Bank is excited to be part of this transformation, and will move into its new headquarters at the Invalidovna metro station in 2020.
This modern eight-storey building will give J&T Bank the space it needs to expand and grow, replacing the existing headquarters which comprises only four floors. In addition to the much-needed extra capacity, the new headquarters will give our clients even more in terms of outstanding meeting spaces for - as is already traditional at J&T Bank, the headquarters will include a private café complete with VIP area.
There will also be a vault and safe-deposit box facility where our clients can keep, for example, their paintings or other works of art. The new building's staircase will be decorated with the bank’s own art collection.
J&T Bank will be the exclusive occupant of the entire eight-story building, which has a capacity of 750 people. A key requirement for the new headquarters from the viewpoint of our employees was to have plenty of space for both business and casual meetings. To meet this requirement, we have integrated an area called the Workcafé, which resembles an auditorium. Recognising that a great working environment is sometimes more important to employees than other benefits, J&T Bank is also including a gym and bicycle-storage facility, a carwash facility in the underground car park and 30 chargers for electric cars.
